“Travel is the unfamiliarity itself and coincidence, and is the medium that gives me the rest and inspiration over my own freedom. Nature faced with travel has a kind of regularity. Thus, the natural objects look like the shape of life. In a lonely and long voyage of life, there are layers of the natural lines presenting the traces of time as being piled thick one over another. The traces of the time when no one knows will sit down for a while on the surface of the river or the grain of the sand. These empirical times come as emotional and homogeneous elements to be felt when working. Even though the end result of struggling with long loneliness alone seems to be endless, it sinks into my work for a while like a wind that makes the memory soft and refreshing.”
